Kentucky Derby tickets added to Rotary Charity Auction

The Jefferson Rotary Charity Auction is known for offering unique items. This year’s auction, slated for Friday, Nov. 19, continues that with six tickets to the one and only Kentucky Derby, live and in person.  On the homestretch of the world’s most famous horse race, six lucky ticket holders will have the experience of a lifetime.

“Thanks to the Rotary Club of Jefferson this is your chance to take in America’s most iconic horse racetrack atmosphere, the freshness of spring, the mint juleps, and of course, the big hats!” said Rotarian Doug Rieder, who secured the tickets.

The tickets include entrance to both the 2022 Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks race schedule. The Oaks races are Friday, May 6 and the famed Derby races are Saturday, May 7. All races are run at the historic Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. Location of the seats is between the quarter pole and one-eighth pole, perfect for viewing the final leg of the most famous horse race in the country!

To bid on these once in a lifetime seats, attendance at the auction is a must. Tickets for individuals, couples or even a whole table are available by logging onto  www.32auctions.com/JeffersonRotary.  The evening features a prime rib dinner that also includes complimentary wine at the tables, appetizers, lava cake plus a dessert auction will be part of the fun.

Other items include tickets to a concert by the one and only Elton John; “Hamilton” tickets in the 4th row of the Des Moines Civic Center; tickets to a James Taylor-Jackson Brown concert; and dinner for eight with Jefferson’s newest chef.

“The Price is Right Stage Show” based on the popular game show will be a feature with tickets plus gift cards.  Four tickets to the Dinosaur World Live interactive family show will be a hit with the kiddos. More items are still being added.

From Saturday, Nov.13 to Friday, Nov. 19, bidders can go online to join in the fun of the bidding on silent auction packages and items such as tickets to unique events that bidders won’t find just anywhere.

Sports memorabilia, gift baskets, home décor, and more will make your Christmas gift buying easy this year.

Besides a night of fun, the proceeds all are used to benefit the community, provide scholarships, sponsor the Greene County High School Interact Club and more.
